I believe we all have a good heart and inner wisdom. Yet when life gets challenging, you can feel overwhelmed or confused about how to make changes and be closer to loved ones. You don’t need to face this alone. Together we can be curious about what is and isn’t working, and take steps towards better balance, emotional health, and fulfillment.
My style is warm and engaged and when appropriate I bring a sense of humor. My approach is strength-based, valuing who you are and what you are good at. I work collaboratively, seeing with you what are best approaches. I bring compassion to what you are struggling with, and offer guidance and encouragement. Along the way, you become aware of what you are doing that may be contributing to difficulties, and learn about what you could do differently, and how to create more peace in your life. I can help you access your self-compassion as a starting point to bringing more kindness into your relationships.
I am especially trained and experienced in working with anxiety and depression, anger management, life transitions, grief, divorce, parenting issues, and difficulties in relationships.
I welcome people from different backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, and those who hold spiritual/religious beliefs or none. Acknowledging social context is important to me, and naming possible inequity or forms of oppression you may be experiencing. This lack of equality could be in the areas of race, social class, gender, sexual orientation, religion, women, disability or age. I am open to including social justice into counseling and the need for personal empowerment.
Together we will figure out what is needing clarity, healing, and how to create a better life for yourself.
I invite you to speak with me by phone for a free 15 minute call to see if I can help you.
